This is the friary in NY, where the new aspirants enter for their 1-year postulancy.

Blessings.

Wow! Thanks for posting this. Whenever I've gone on retreat to the Sisters of Bethlehem in nearby Livingston Manor, NY there have always been a few Friars of the Immaculate there. And I remember reading in the prayer petition book a petition from one of the friars for the contemplative house of the friars being established nearby. pray.gif

And also, look at this, the Poor Clares of the Immaculate! http://www.mtstfrancis.com/Poor_Clares.htm

I wonder, is this a new branch forming of the Poor Clares .. Awesome!!!

Okay, yes, they've already been established in Italy (from the other thread)

In Italy, three monasteries have been founded of Poor Clares of the Immaculate, who support the missions of the friars and sisters through their lives of prayer and sacrifice within the hidden recesses of the cloister.

The web-page is just beautiful! Even if there isn't any content yet. Margaret, I wrote and asked and there are actually FOUR monasteries already: Aulla, Creazzo, another one that I forget where, and Acquapendente. Do you think they just have the page about them to provide information (as opposed to, because they expect an American foundation)? It says "Sisters" too but as far as I know they don't have any Sisters at Maine either, though perhaps they will sometime.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. I sent a couple emails out asking about it, so we'll see how they reply. But yeah, the pages are probably there to provide information and addresses to where they are at. It would be wonderful if someday the Poor Clares of the Immaculate do come to the US. pray.gif

I'm sure they will--the FI are taking over the world, it's what they do! lol_roll.gif It makes me happy.
