Do you know of any good retreat houses that offer 30 day retreats using Ignatian spirituality? I tried googling the Jesuits and using vocation.com as starting points, but couldn't come up with anything concrete. It would be especially great if it was in the midwest, but that is not necessary.
I'm discerning, I've had several set backs and/or major changes this last year, (father died, mother diagnosed with alzheimers, several other deaths of people close to me, quit job, sold house, donated/sold most goods, the community I was discerning with for several years I decided to postpone entrance and look at other communities) I have also had a lot of trouble finding a spiritual director. There have been two. The first one never really gave me any advice. The second one helped some, but does not hold to the orthodox teachings of the church, so I didn't feel comfortable with her. It was suggested that I do a 30 day retreat. So, I am also looking for an orthodox community for the retreat. Maybe that's more info. than you need, but any help or advice would be appreciated.

Many of the Trappist monasteries have retreat facilities where folks can stay for virtually any length of time. I'm not sure they provide a retreat master, so you might have to gather your own materials and work through them independently. Many Benedictine monasteries also have retreat facilities. Usually, in both orders of monasteries, guests are allowed to pray with the community as many or as few times in a day as they'd like.

Contact the
IVE - all their religious do the 30-day retreat several times. They certainly offer shorter retreats and might very well be able to help you with the full one.

Most Cenacles will work out a 30 day retreat for you.
Tell them you want the traditional Ignation type.

Thanks so much for the input. I'm looking into several of the options posted, but if you have others I'm still open.

I've attended retreats at the White House Retreat Center in St. Louis and while there website doesn't advertise 30 day retreats, I remember seeing stuff at the retreat center that seemed to indicate that they will do 30 day retreats. You may want to try contacting them personally to see if this is a possibility. The location is great - esp. in the fall & spring.
