I got an e-mail today from Sr. Joseph Andrew with the names of all of the new novices and a picture of the current novice group. When I figure out how I can post pictures that I've saved onto my computer I will post up the pictures she sent me. As of right now there are 33 novices, but 14 will be making first profession tomorrow!

New Names:

Sister Eva --> Sister Maria

Sister Markley --> Sister Mary Edmund

Sister Laura --> Sister Maria Catherine

Sister Rebecca --> Sister Teresa Paul

Sister Kathleen --> Sister Catherine Thomas

Sister Jennifer --> Sister Maria Miguel

Sister Kristin --> Sister Louis Marie

Sister Mary --> Sister Mary Philomena

The last time I saw all of the them I asked them about the names they were thinking about and it's cool to see that they all got the names they wanted smile.gif

This is awesome! The Nashville Dominicans just had professions, too, and I don't have a full list of names; I wish I did..

I got to meet some of these now-novices when they were postulants back around January 20 or so at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, when we took a tour of the area in the days leading up to the March for Life. I immediately recognized some of them from the Sister Profiles section [and of course recognized their postulant outfits and the Dominican habits the professed sisters were wearing, with the veil differing slightly from our sisters'] and got to talk to them! So cool!

Yaaay! I'm so happy for them. Let's keep them in our prayers.

I would love to see the picture!!!
