They are the Benedictine Sisters of Elk County, St. Mary's PA

funny name!

The Starr Country TX Benedictines are very small. I'll bet they'd be open to older vocations!

Sorry for the slip-up--we also forgot to mention these other habited Benedictines:
Olivetan Benedictines in Arkansas; they actually wear a white habit
Benedictine Sisters in Liberty, Missouri (a very small community)
There is also a community in Ann Arbor Michigan in full habit; they don't have much of a web presence, so I don't know a lot about them.

Here's the pretty well maintained vocation directory site (websites and email) for Benedictine orders for women, also with links to those outside the US:

There is another community in Columbia, MO, a nice college town I have visited. There are nine of them, in middle to upper middle age in suits with a pin. They say the office and give retreats. I'll bet they would consider an older vocation!

Sorry for "teasing." I didn't realize that it was. I just wanted to put out the name of a group of apostolic benedictine sisters in the habit. I've had a hard time finding one and I thought that other phatmassers should know about it.

Bumping this because somebody here mentioned wanting to join active Benedictines who wear a habit...

Also wanted to add the Benedictine Sisters in Tulsa Oklahoma who wear a habit. Sorry I don't have their web address.
