I understand what they're trying to do, here...they're trying to promote the religious life and show that not all nuns are 90 years old...but to me this seems like the wrong tactic. Well-meaning it may be, but it trivializes something profound.

Same thread was in Open Mic. Last post says this was cancelled, and the priest was threatened! Crazy stuff!

Kinda weird. I undertsand that he's trying to promote vocations. God calls who He wants, and He will always find a way to offer the invitation.

I guess the priest has good intentions but the idea is a bit out there and I do agree that it trivializes something profound. I think he should've thought that one through a bit more!

I.e., send in photos of nuns you respect, either in action doing good work, or just being cool. Prize is yet to be determined, same for the deadline.
