Hey guys and gals of PM,

Its been awhile since I last posted and or updated people on my vocational discernment. As many of you know I discerned last fall after one semester of being in seminary to leave the formation program. However, for the past six months I really have felt that I should go back, and there was a point when I met with the VD and made the request to return as a seminarian. Since that meeting, for some reason the conviction I had has disipated, but I firmly believe that it would be in my best interest to return to seminary. Even though I may not necessarily want to return, I know that I will be returning.

I have to wait to meet with our new Bishop, because I do not want to go back to the seminary I was originally at.

I ask you to please keep me in your prayers as I begin to make this giant leap of faith to return to seminary. Ideally I hope to return for the spring but practically it may be the fall.

Thanks for your prayers and feel free to chime in your thoughts or questions.

Peace,

Edward

It's good to hear from you Eddie. I would just suggest that you make sure that it is the right decision to return to Seminary, because if you are not sure and if you eventually decide to leave again, then they may be reluctant to allow you to return a third time.

May the Holy Spirit enlighten you to his will. smile.gif

are you going to Steubenville this fall?

No, going to Steubeville would have disenfranchise myself from the Diocese so I'm staying at the college i'm at taking classes that will transfer.

Eddie, it really sounds like your heart is not in this. Why not take some more time before commiting yourself. Go to college, finish that up, explore some of the world before taking this step again. There should be no one forcing you to reenter seminary. What is the hurry.
Slow down. Take your time. I hope you are not running away to seminary, make sure of your motives.

I'll be praying for you! Jesus, I Trust in You!
