So, I saw this "seasonal" Cirque du Soleil show, "Wintuk" and I have to say, though it was not up to par with their typical shows, I enjoyed it. It is clearly geared more for children, and employed every single clown art known to man, which made it all the more interesting to me.
Without giving too much away it is about a child, winter and his great imagination, in order to truly capture that there is a mix of skateboarding, inline skating, bike riding (tricks...BMX style) juggling, slackrope, puppetry, clowning, stiltwalking, unicycling, trampoline, aerial straps (typical Cirque) and Russian bars (again, typical Cirque).
Defintely not as good as their other shows "O" or "Ka" but still good. Once you realize the target audience is children or those who are children at heart, it becomes an amazing, entertaining and energetic show. Highly recommended for those who are in or around New York City during the months of Nov, Dec and Jan.
BTW, since I went on Friday it was considered "non-peak" so I got the tix for $75 this week the same seats (two rows from the stage) will be $150.
