I'm pretty psyched up losties. I still get the shivers when John Locke says:

"I've looked into the eye of this island
and what I saw . . . was beautiful."

I heard the producers of the show, have some *ahem* innovations for the final two seasons. It might go beyond Shakespeare

I could watch Desmond and Penny finally find each other again and again...one of my favorite scenes in Lost...ever!

This season is going to be ridiculously cool, I've heard.

Ya'll have to check out the Season 5 promo featuring a new song by The Fray. It features some scenes from last season as well as a few from this upcoming season. All I have to say is wow!!!

I hope they show the season all in one go this time...

I think they'll have to because the season does start until January.

I think that's why they decided to do it in January, so it would be a more uninterrupted run. I think it's a great idea, because LOST can drive me crazy when it's broken up over 9 months.

Unless an actors' strike messes it up...

Funny how some in this story will now have to FIND what they LOST given the shocking event we were left with in last year's season finale. (Was the cryptic enough to not be a spoiler? Hmm.)

We just got Lost: the Board Game. So now we're even more psyched for the start of the season.

Board game?? How the heck do you play???

You get to be a character (characters are from season 2, so there's Ana-Lucia, Libby, Claire, Shannon, Sayid, Mr Eko, Locke, Kate, Jin, Sawyer, Jack, Sun, Hurley, Charlie). The goal is to control all other characters in play. So you have to explore the island by turning over the tiles that make up the board, and you either get equipment or have encounters there (like the polar bear or the monster). It's pretty fun.

i gotta get that now...the board game...

Should I start watching lost or is that some vortex I should stay away from?

Only if you can start at the beginning. It would make very little sense to you now... Though there is a "LOST in four minutes" video on youtube that sums it up pretty nicely.

I decided that since this thread will probably be getting a lot of traffic in a couple of weeks, having to slide over to read all the posts was going to drive us all nuts, so I deleted the over-sized picture of the 2009 cast. Sorry.

If you have fast internet connection, they have all the episodes from all the previous seasons on abc.com. At least they did the last time I checked.

As for whether or not you should get into it, it can move a little slow at times, especially the 2nd season, but maybe that's not as much of a problem when you can watch them all in fast succession if you want to.

yes. I recommend locking yourself in a room with a three day supply of food and watching each episode in succession (that is four seasons worth). You might not come out of that room quite the same, and you will be ready for season five.

I am very sad to announce that I will miss the two hour season opener.



I work 2nd shift now, and no DVR. I guess my only refuge is abc.com. I hope they post the epys in a timely manner or I might just go insane.

Claire's always been my favorite... I dig the accent. And she has a baby.

Alas... too bad it wasn't my name I can't imagine "Jason" in an Australian accent sounds nearly as appealing. Guess that means it wasn't meant to be.
