If i could swear i would, that this is the most beuatiful piece of literature i've read. i have read quite a bit. i am going to copy it down and read it every day. i filled me with such a joy and peace in my vocation. Thank you.
i was invited by my bishop to go to a special day spent with him, our diocease vocational direator and some local religous orders. however i am un able to go as it is during my trip to see my sister in ireland, who by the way is taking the promises of a concercrated lay woman of Regnum Christi (pray for her) in august. i am bummed not to go but excited for ireland, i know there will be other evnts so i am looking forward to those... but oh man i wanted to go but : : for ireland!!!!
ok, to clear something up, we don't pressure, we just let you know we're out there, we're bold, and maybe a bit in your face, i'm sorry about any experiences however there is no rule that you can't be anything else if you are RC, it's not for everyone, we just make it very availble and we are on fire for our cause.
anyway, even being RC i think we should drop the topic, you have your problems with us, keep to yourself, we get enough slander from other folks, i don't like seeing it here. we are who we are, DWIP! (deal with it please) sorry if i'm coming off as rude and/or mean, but i have had enough, if you have a question, present it, please don't go on abotu our faults, we know thats how you feel now just leave us alone.
if you got a prob, take it up with god!
I love Opus Dei folks, they are so holy!! and even though we are different we are working for the same cause.
[quote name='Fixxxer' date='Dec 18 2005, 10:15 PM']I wont read anything thats has a witch a wizard, anything magic in it or anything not real in it. I'm a super catholic
i don't like how you stated that, i am one of the most catholic people i know and i love fantasy. it can be good, think of c.s. lewis and j.r.r. tolkien. i don't think it's fair to rule such things out.
[quote name='sraf' date='Jan 1 2006, 03:08 AM']No, it's not the same. If you like LotR you will probably understand or tolerate HP better or you may be just more used to what magic in fiction entails, but I've met some people who love LotR but can't stand HP, or vice-versa.
i can agree with you there because tolkien is know to be a better writer, though dry to some and he wrote books with true deep moral in them from a true deep moral point og veiw that i do not believe rowling has.
i'm sorry but he was a strong, solid catholic and there for i think him is a better writer, and has i better plot line hers is to typical...
It makes sense that when the one who loves you more than anything says love me back, you would say yes.
people make all kinds of sarafices for things that don't matter as much. i've been asked to make one for the one who matters most of all.
i guess the question for me was why not?
[quote name='Sixtina87' date='Dec 14 2005, 08:22 PM']the Sisters that started or gave me the idea to seek a religious vocaiton was, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Marytr St. george, in Alton ILL!!!
I'm looking into that order!
Mine were they Concercrated woman of regnum christi and the intercession of saint Clare, my patron, they hooked me and showed me loving christ was absolutly normal and tons of fun.
I feel for you but i was told by a very holy priest (you know the ones you can see the holy spirit jumping out of) to slow down so i am relaying it on to you, don't jump to the 1st one you find wait until it seems right and if the 1st seems right i would say jump for what have you got to lose??
