What Can I Do?

But I HAVE been around long enough to care about the site dearly. There are lots of great memories in my mind. I met my first girlfriend here, a two-year trek that taught me more than I can believe sometimes. God also fostered the friendship I had with LGLG, who is soon going to become my wife. Highest, LGLG got the job in Iowa after learning about it here, and that is paving the way for our future together. With all my heart, I thank God for Phatmass.
I was just wondering, though. I really don't know all the troubles the site has been going through lately. I know that there seems to be a lot more bickering and discension then before. Is there anything I can do to help? Like, what do we need to help the site continue and flourish? I may not be much, but I am something. What does the site need to help it grow. If there is anything that I find I can do, I will.
Yours in Christ,
Alex

I don't know what suggestions to give, because I didn't know there was a problem.
Ditto.
Although, prayers are always good.

Even if there are no outward problems, there is at least rumurs of some. The site is cliquey, posters are unkind, uncharitable. I've been back for about three months, and I've lost track of the number of times I've come across the accusations, and seen it for myself.
That's all.

I think everyone needs to calm down.

I think this is what's up.

Tempers are bound to flare during a debate. If tempers begin to flare outside of debate - which I have yet to see - then I would be concerned.

I believe that I have seen that a lot, especially here in Open Mic.
Plenty of threads in Open Mic turn into a debate.
I am just tired of these "rumors" and generalizations. If people are noticing something, they should just come out and address it.

Me too!I have, though I confess, I'm a little confused as to how we go about doing it.

Maybe with everything going on in the world, (economy, immigration debates, issues on morality/society) theres just a lot of irritability.
Im not a fan of cliques either..makes some feel left out.

In my experience these sort of attitudes tend to pass in time, particularly in the face of holier behaviors.
