Both, actually! Restraints due to time and distance have hindered me from visiting them. So, I have talked about a visit, knowing that it will have to wait a while.

That's fantastic! It's good to "meet" you. :) I hope you make it out sooner rather than later. I hope the same for me too. :P

Random, but the new directory of religious orders is looking very Franciscan (for women at least...) lol

There's a new community of Franciscan Sisters at the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels headed by Fr. Bob Lombardo, CFR - http://www.ourladyoftheangelsmission.com/ At first I thought they were starting a community of CFR Sisters there .. but no, it's a whole new community. One of the sisters is Alicia Torres the one you might remember for running races to raise money for her college debt (which was recently paid off I heard, yay!!) - http://www.thenunrun.com And here I just found this picture here, http://www.runfornuns.com/

And now that I know their name .. here's their site, http://franciscansoftheeucharist.weebly.com/ Neat!

The sister at right looks terribly familiar. Do you know anything else about how the community formed or why? How they are different from the CFRs? Off to work, I'll check in later.

Also curious about this new community-especially since there is a group of Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist in CT, I would think the similarity of names would be so confusing.

I'm currently in the application process with the Capuchins (Province of St. Conrad). Hoping to enter this fall. Your prayers are appreciated!

St. Crispin of Vitterbo, pray for us!

Just spent the past weekend with two Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, and two sisters of the same order. They were all pretty amesome, and I am know looking in to the Franciscan CFRs as a possible vocation for myself.

I continue to pray for discernment, and someday, God will show me the way.

From what I know, they were founded specifically to work at (though probably not limited to) the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels in Chicago, founded by Fr. Bob Lombardo, CFR .. and he is the founder of this new community too. I know there is also a young man discerning with them, so I believe he hopes to found two branches. That Sister on the right is Sr. Kate. Here she is with Sr. Alicia before their investiture. She actually does look a lot like a postulant with the CFRs with the same name in 2007, but she has a different last name, though I won't post it here.

Yes, their name is similar to the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist in MO. But I guess with adoration and the Eucharist being so central to Franciscan spirituality it is understandable why they would also choose that name. There are also Franciscan Sisters of the Perpetual Adoration and Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration :topsy: .. and probably many more with similar names :like:

Well kind of, I went with a group of people from my church and other churches in the area to the March for Life, and they tagged along with us. It was very amesome. hahaha

They were from a Friary down in NYC or Newark, New Jersey, but I'm not sure which.

No Problem!:like:

They have a friary in Newark and a few in NYC. :) It could have been either. It's amesome that you're considering discerning with them! I've discerned with them in the past and am in the process of doing that again. :clapping:

I don't often turn green... but I just did.
You got to do two things at the very top of my To Do List:
1) Meet the CFRs
2) Go to the March for Life
