I am interested in the Sisters of Christian Charity after finding out that they were diverse but still traditional. I thought that was an interesting combination. Plus, I also have some more links to add: Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres There was another one I wanted to add but I forgot the name of it. They are the Franciscan Brothers of the Eucharist. Each Brother is assigned to work in a professional field suited to his personal talents and education. In this way, the mission of the Brothers is carried out to the people with whom the brothers work. As the community grows, we envision Brothers collaborating with the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist in each of their centers and apostolates in the U.S and abroad. We see work - whether manual, intellectual or professional - as an opportunity to share as co-creators in building the Church. As we expend energy by giving ourselves to hard work, we in turn become energized through the transforming power of communal effort and interaction with the elements of creation. OnlySunshine Posted July 24, 2014 Share Posted July 24, 2014 Felician Franciscan Sisters of North America -I think this order is very much like the SCC in that they are committed to social justice while at the same time remaining a Eucharistic and Marian community. I've heard that they allow internet time and they have a modified habit and veil, but they are still members of the CMSWR. The Carmelite Sisters of the Aged and Infirm have Sisters on Facebook (plus, I've seen one sister post here occasionally). The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration are pretty lenient in the way of what to bring to the convent when you enter. Even though they are a semi-contemplative community, the Sisters are allowed to go home 2 weeks out of the year to visit family. See here:http://www.benedictinesisters.org/vocation/questions.php I don't think the Carmelite Sisters really qualify as "middle of the road." The other two, I believe, do. Sisters of Nazareth We are from different parts of the world and have brought with us into the Congregation various gifts and talents together with our own personalities.
