They follow the customs of the discalced order but I don't know if they fall under either, can't find the name of any of the sisters or the brothers to see what they use, lol

The name of the congregation is: Irmãs Eremitas da Bem-Aventurada Virgem Maria do Monte Carmelo. "Eremetic Sisters of the holy virgen Mary from Mount Carmel". I am not an inside into Carmel rules..., but it says that they are "ECarm"

There is a male carmel monastery at their side, their website is: My link It says that they follow the rule of Saint Albert.

I do wonder where google translator got that they live, eat, pray in jail? It must have translated "cela" wrongly with "jail", but cela refers to cell, i.e. the monastic cell.

Here is another part of their website: My link The monastery is located in the province of Sao Paulo.

Here's their website
http://www.hermitsof...ountcarmel.org/

they are affiliated with the ancient observance (O Carm)

I lived next door to them when I was a hermit - Father Romano, the desert Father at Bethleham actually donated the land to them by giving them part of his property - they share the same driveway!
They are not affiliated, these Carmelites are out of New Jersey and use the OF, the ones I posted were founded in Brazil and use the EF

Good gravy! How many different Carmelites are there? nunsense, how can you go Benedictine when you still haven't explored all these different Carmels, lol.

Just to clarify, the Rule of St Albert is the rule given to the early hermits on Mount Carmel, so is 'the rule of Carmel' so to speak.

These are very beautiful pictures. Lovely, lovely. The Spirit moves us all in different ways and sometimes a picture can really say a thousand words! Thank you!

Where is this Cistercian from? Is she from Wisconsin? I don't recognize her. Maybe from a Monastery in Europe? (Number #100)

Max, is she from this Priory? They appear to be O.Cist, and not strict observance OCSO Trappistines.
