Archbishop João Bráz de Aviz has been appointed head of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, to replace the far more confrontational Cardinal Rode.
This is the second appointment of a conciliatory official placed high in this organization which oversees religious life. The first was Archbishop Joseph Tobin, Secretary of the Vatican's Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life,

NCR is not anti-Catholic.
I used that link as it included an in-depth interview with Archbiship Aviz as it had with Archbishop Tobin, quoting both of them in their own words, emphasizing a much more conciliatory approach towards women's congregations than Cardinal Rode had demonstrated.

The NCR is so far left, I have a hard time maintaining control of my bowels when I read it.
