This group here is not in communion with the Church the other Slaves of the Immaculate heart of mary (those in the video) are. Their website is: http://www.saintbenedict.com/

I confused them too, a few years ago when I first started discerning. The other order (The one in communion) is a beautiful order, but i don't follow feeneyism, so that was a major drawback for me. But they are very welcoming and forthcoming with information.

LPS is correct. The ones that are in communion with Rome do not have the emblem emblazoned on their habit, nor do they have a scapular like these do. Instead, they have a capelet.

Here is the Sisters' own website (apart from the communal website):

Mater,
I think that the last link you posted is again different from the www.saintbenedict.com one. If you look closely, the Sisters of Saint Benedict Center have a caplet over a white blouse with an unstarched collar whereas the other ones have a tunic with a caplet over it and a starched collar. These latter sisters are in communion with the church (they sometimes have the bishop out to celebrate some ceremonies with them, and show this on their website). All the rest are dubious - there was a split in the Slaves after one of their founders died. They all look very lovely, but I think it would it would be prudent to phone the chancery in their dioceses to make sure if one wanted to discern with a community in particular. I'm pretty sure there was one group that at one time said they were in communion with the Church - but it was of their own definition.

If, however, I am mistaken, please in charity to these communities, correct me.

ETA: It looks like the two communities that were linked to (NOT the sisters with the emblem and scapular) are only down the road from each other and that they are now reunited with each other - and thus presumably both in communion with the Church? The ones in New Hampshire, which the sisters with the scapulars are, broke away from the community in the 70s or 80s.

This is from www.saintbenedict.com -
In 2000, Mother Teresa Beneway, the superior of St. Ann's House and founding member from the early Center, reunited her community with our ours.
In 2002, Bishop Reilly of Worcester came to the Center and after a ceremony in the Chapel where the community recited and signed a copy of the Creed, he gave his formal blessing and “regularized” the community in the diocese. His successor, Bishop McManus has come to the Chapel several times since then to administer the sacrament of Confirmation in the Traditional Rite to the student of IHM
Hopefully that made it somewhat clearer, however, I still issue my same warning about asking about this community - or ANY community - if you think they may not be in communion with the church

Oh, my! They are different. I don't know how I didn't realize that the Sisters in my link were older than the ones in the first link. It does appear, however, that both communities are regularized -- the first one according to the statement you posted and the second one (my link) has this picture:

I agree, however, that anyone with any reservations about any community should contact the diocese to inquire about the order's status. :)

Ok, I'm a little confused.

Both communities state that they are of the St. Benedict Center in Still River, MA (Diocese of Worchester), but have different addresses.

The Brothers' and Sisters' community

They are actually right down the street from each other, as I discovered when I went on maps.google.com, but they have no connection other than being in the same diocese, having the same history, and having the same religious order name. What gives?

I did some reading about these after coming across them randomly, there have been lots of divisions and regrowth and then more divisions. I am in a rush so can't track down lots of links, but there's alot about them on Fisheaters if you can bear all the ultra-trad ramblings http://catholicforum.fisheaters.com/index.php/topic,2735757.0.html

Thank you for posting this. I did some more research because I'm a naturally curious person, and I Googled the website for the Diocese of Worcester. It seems, according to the website for the Vicar of Religious for Worcester, that both Still River communities are in communion with the One True Church as they are both present on the list for religious communities in the diocese:

Men and Women Religious Communities (Diocese of Worcester) (scroll down to Women's communities; they are listed under MICM)

Even the group in Richmond is in Full Communion with the Church. However, they are not recognized as a religious group (yet). But none of their members is excommunicated or anything.
The priest who currently says mass for them was sent there by the local bishop.

After more research, this is what I came up with:

Our Status in the Church -- from the Slaves in Richmond, NH

However, they are not listed on the diocesan website, so, if anyone has any questions, contact the diocese directly at:

Manchester, NH 03105-0310

The ones in the youtube Video replied to an enquiry about their faithfullness to the Pope. They said that they have always been under the pope, so I trust that (i dont really have info to back it up though). I found the pictures on Google Images ... They habits look the same to me..

Mater, the person who could really set you straight about this, is Sr Mary Catharine OP, who began the "Who's Who" thread. This is home territory for Sister. I am here only to paraphrase what she has privately PM'd to me, and what she has posted on other threads on this phorum.
Still River, which the USPS today considers a neighborhood within the town of Harvard in Worcester County, used to be a farm community, and years ago was distinct from the town of Harvard, as it was out in the country. The farms were these big places with lots of buildings. I can't tell you which farm the Catholics of St Benedict Center (originally on Bow and Arrow streets in Cambridge) purchased/acquired, somebody else could specify. Anyway this pre-existing group acquired this farm property. There were multiple buildings on the premises; I can guess that, this being a lot of acres held over decades of time, newer buildings may have been constructed where there were none. That is how you get all these street addresses being so close together. The old farm property was/is on Still River Road. The string of "Still River Road" addresses, with proximate but distinct street numbers, used to all be outbuildings or domiciles IN THE SAME FARM.
They became distinct addresses/residences as the different factions within St Benedict Center began to sort of stake out their territories within the farm acreage.
Thus, you have St Ann's House on Still River Road, with the contemplative Sisters whose first novitiate was conducted by the late Dame Gertrude Brown, OSB, on loan from England's Stanbrook Abbey.
Then you have St Elizabeth's convent/house on Still River Road, with the Sisters who are mostly younger and who have an active apostolate of teaching and schooling.
Then there is an abbey of Benedictine Monks; if I recall right, they are dependent upon the Swiss-American Congregation within the Order of St Benedict, which makes them truly distinct and separate from the Petersham community of monks, St Mary's Monastery, dependent upon the Subiaco Congregation within the Order of St Benedict. And St Benedict's Abbey is also on Still River Road.
