CRAZY DOPE POST, YO!

I got accepted into the PhD program with full tuition support and a stipend!!!!

This is at the school I'm currently attending for my master's, so I will be able to jump right into the PhD program without skipping a beat.  I love the other grad students, the staff and faculty, and most importantly, my research advisor and research group.

Now I don't have to worry about scraping money together for food or to go see Missy.  Money got a bit tight there for awhile, but He always provided me with enough (often through free food events on campus) to survive. It was humbling. I needed that.  Still need to learn a lot more humility, but it's nice for a breather for the time being, as least in the money department.

Thank you for this God, and thanks for the suffering along the way; I learned so much.

Congratulations! I've been living with a lot of uncertainty lately, so I can empathize with that "walking on eggshells until you find out" feeling.

Brian...since you are an actual physicist and I certainly am not could you kindly correct any significant and glaring errors in the theories that I put forward in this blog?!

I'm kinda bogged down with homework right now, but I glanced through it briefly.  There's some things I agree with (like our universe being multi-dimensional, and with the idea that outside of our universe there could be a "realm" in which this and other universes exist are certainly possible), but the premise seems a bit strange to me.  It's hard to explain, but I'll try my best to address it properly.

The main problem is the idea of infinite time or eternity.  It somewhat reduces the problem to that of the famous "chicken or egg, which came first?" kind of argument.

So what came "first"?  It's a contest between 2 ways of thinking.

1) What makes sense to me, is a being that has existed for eternity.  Eternity does not mean "a really really really really long time",  it means forever.  Eternity is such a thing that, if something exists for eternity, then time doesn't make sense to compare to it.  If something is eternal, it exists.  It doesn't need time in order to exist, it simply exists (hence people calling God the great "I AM").  This is why we say that an eternal being exists outside of time.

2) If a being did not exist for eternity, then the only other option is that this "realm" or plane of existence along with the "super energy" has always existed and that the first higher being simply happened and this leads to everything else you mentioned in your blog.  My problem is that I don't understand how a plane of existence existing for eternity results in a being "happening".  Or another way of putting it is how does something unintelligent create intelligence?  If you can convince me of this, then my rough glance through the rest of your logic seems to flow, but I can't understand this point.

Thanks for the interesting thoughts, I'm excited to explore this further when I get more free time.

That's really great! Graduate funding is always very important. Where are you studying right now?
