I don't know about his degree status but I put in a vote for Church Militant at least.

Why isn't LD a Church Scholar or Militant?

That's not in opposition of qfnol, by the way. I was just wondering while the subject was being knocked around.

That works too... He's less omnipotent and more gadgety, which I think is a bit closer to reality.

I like to think of myself as mischievous, which is why I always think Q.

He was modeled after Q, and voiced by John de Lancie.

I renounced my tag during a time of drama. It was primarily a protest of dUSt's ultimatum that everyone with tags (which, in practice was mainly a subset of people with tags who were part of the drama) had to make an oath to agree with the Pope on everything, including personal preferences like favorite color. This was one of several injustices that made me want to be less strongly linked to PM.

I appreciate the thought, Hassy!

i thought you were dropped as Church Scholar because you went around erasing everybody's bad marks against them...

what was that called? i don't remember...but if you received like 4 or something, you'd be banned for a week or so?

I think I had 3 out of 4 and you erased them for me.. :hehe2: for that I am eternally grateful......

Yeah, that was about modding, not church scholaring. dUSt wasn't around much at that time and my honest interpretation of the will of dUSt was that bad marks should be removed for exemplary acts or if they're just very old. I never removed a mark arbitrarily or out of bias.

ETA: And actually, dUSt said that wasn't why he removed me as a mod, so who knows. He trimmed down the mod team at that time so it wasn't just me. Ironically, he told me that he removed mods who didn't have much activity in the mod logs, which goes against the allegation that I was an overactive mod. Coincidence that I was clashing with a couple of the other mods at the time about best practices? I refuse to speculate. lol. Memory lane... But please, let's talk about qfnol, he's pretty razzle.

There was at one time a dramatic post in which I officially renounced all PM tags and blah blah, but I think that thread was deleted. How nostalgic it would be to find that goofy post. Anyway, that thread would probably refresh your memory.

That thread by the way was probably the single most epic in all of the Mod Lounge. It was worth being a mod shortly just to read all the reactions. :hehe:
