Fat Tuesday

I ate a healthy McDonald's breakfast, which consisted of McGriddle and a Dr. Pepper. Now, I am going to eat all of the Little Debbie brownies with milk that my stomach can handle (Which isn't much since I'm not a big eater), and I'll end the day drinking as much pop and eating as much as I can. I'm drinking lots of pop since I am upholding my tradition of giving it up.

My husband has been wanting those for the past few years. I thought since we moved and have a Polish Catholic Church here, he might be able to get them. He found some at a grocery store, but they aren't quite authentic. He was happy to have something close, though.

Pizza from my most favorite pizza place of all time. Probably other stuff.

I regret to inform you all that my favorite pizza place CLOSED FOREVER during the year since I have last visited. BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

So instead I had a gigantic juicy burger at the St. Claire Broiler. It was good enough, I guess.

LSOP's picture is pretty good. I used 4 tbs of flour, 4 tbs sugar, 3 tbs oil, 3 tbs milk, 2 tbs whisked egg, 2 tbs cocoa powder, a splash of vanilla, a dash of cinnamon, and a big splash of strong coffee from that morning. Nuke in the microwave for about two minutes. Also good with chocolate chips. :)

Make sure you have a glass of milk to go with it, though. :)

Totally making this after work tonight!

I wish we could get good paczki here. If there's a place I have no idea where it is. I should just learn to make it myself.

....how very indulgent of you.

Not to rub it in, but I bought a few last night at the Polish bakery about a block and a half from my house.

Hush your mouth. :P The closest I can get to paczki here is Dunkin Donuts. I never had it growing up, which is a shame since my mom is about 1/2 Polish and we SHOULD have had it. I fell in love with it when Matt first introduced me to it after we were married (he's something like 3/4 Polish).

Had pizza for lunch. Unfortunately stuck at work so I'm missing the local parade, but I'll have something meaty and tasty tonight. Maybe sausage and beer. I have to remember to hide the sugar so I don't accidently sweeten my coffee tomorrow!

A double quarter pounder, an angus third-pounder, a sweet tea, and a McChicken. :| Yes I will feel sick, but I don't have fast food for Lent.

Oh and I had a King cake as part of lunch today, one of the profs brought it in to share!
