I just saw that my old parish in Liverpool, St Austin's, will be relinquished to the diocese. There are, unfortunately, too few monks at Ampleforth to continue staffing some of the parishes (St Austin's isn't the only one being relinquished to the diocese). Please pray for Ampleforth Abbey, for the monks, for the parishes, and for the diocese. Liverpool's diocesan priests already oversee multiple parishes, so the likelihood is that more will be closed. St Austin's is a vibrant parish with 2 daily Masses and 5 weekend Masses, and I doubt that Willie able to continue. The building is smaller, so I've a feeling it'll be closed.
St Augustine of Canterbury, pray for them. Mother Mary, pray for them.
