Seriously.

We took possession of a condo upstairs for our new foster son, and we knew it was going to be dirty. The guy who lived there was pretty much a pot smoking hermit for 20 years. He was 3 1/2 years behind on his condo fees and taxes and with a tax sale looming, he decided to sell to us. We knew he had a broken shower, and leaky faucets. This building is 30 years old, so we knew stuff would need to be replaced, appliances, toilet, etc. We have a crew coming over on Saturday to help clean mostly made up of Zack's mom's Legion of Mary prayer group. They were ecstatic to help.

So we got the keys finally this afternoon, and I seriously think he never cleaned once in 20 years. Then I saw the book shelves. They are filled with goth and satanic stuff including a satanic bible. He even left a present in the toilet for us. In the morning I'm buying lots of dust masks and rubber gloves. I'm going to mix some holy water in the cleaning water, and our priest has said he was going to come bless it when it was cleaned up. He had originally not wanted to do that because he didn't like the idea of being alone in a 17 year old's apartment. After he heard that the apartment was filled with satanic stuff, he said he would.

We tried to help this guy out over the years, but never reached him.

I swear to God, if I believed in karma, I'd say you DRAW these kinds of things to yourself.

But the present in the toilet - same thing happened to my brother when he and his buddies moved into a house. The previous renter was wwaaayyyy behind in the rent, one of the buddies knew the owner, and the owner kind of used these guys as a crowbar to get the way-behind-renter out. He left a present in the toilet, and four dogs, one of which was an about-to-deliver chihuahua.

Holy water mixed in with PIne-Sol should do miracles. But don't use any Proctor & Gamble products! (They've got their own satanic logo, you know.)

I was being facetious about P&G. My uncle worked for P&G for years, and if we ever wanted a little entertainment, we'd ask him about the satanic connection, just so we could watch him clench his jaw, watch him turn fourteen shades of red, and watch that vein in his forehead throb as he ranted and raved about it.

But with Catherine's karma, I really don't think she should take ANY chances!

being atheist is one thing. Being satanic is bringing it to another level. I find it quite disturbing when I hear reports of people engaging in such rituals. It makes the spiritual world that much more real.

Well, cleanliness is next to godliness, right? And this guy was certainly doing his best to avoid both.

Yes as arfink said, scrubbing the walls would be a good idea.

You will probably want to paint the ceiling and walls, and if possible new flooring. If your foster son allows it, you might want to put up a cross... etc.

I put the pine sol in a gallon sprayer about twice the usual mixture. He's literally spraying the carpeting down to keep the dust down before ripping it up. We are going to spray the walls and ceiling too. Everything will be repainted and new carpet will be installed next week.

He's already gotten the plastic shutters off the windows. There was no natural light before. Lots of dead spiders and mice. He also replaced the locks immediately. While we were at Home Depot today, they were having a hiring fair and he even got offered a job.

Gonna be a very full dumpster by Monday.

Not to say I am messed up. But this scary yet razzle dazzle (I know the Devil is never razzle dazzle but I have always seen beating Satinism as punching the devil in face) I wish you well and hoped I could help you if I lived closer.

I'd understand this stuff better if he was from Africa of the Caribbean. He was raised in Canada since a child but was born in the Czech republic. Besides the occult stuff, he had lots of conspiracy theory stuff. Well rid of the guy.
