So basically the salute seems to have a connection to divinity. Now, if one were to do the salute while saying "O Christos nasha (that is, "Christ is risen")," I'd say that you are making a confession of the divinity of Christ. So, yes, I suppose, the Vulcans would give the salute while saying the Paschal Greeting.

i do the sign of the cross with 3 fingers like the Serbian Orthodox go symbolicaly signing oneself with the trinity in word and action i guess. Now the Vulcan salute does it use 3 fingers,2 fingers,1 finger etc that may be your key as to whether the inventer of the vulcans was an Orthodax christian. Live Live and Prostrate. or live love and peace possibly that is 2 L's amd a P.

OK, now THAT's a little over the top - do you also pray the "Our Father" in Klingon? Next thing you know you will be an EMHC who gives out communion wearing pointy ears and the blue Spock shirt.
