Uh.... ditto! :)

And this is the first car I remember my family having -- the Green Packard. (I thought they named the football team after them - Go Green Bay, Go PACKARDS! I thought that for the longest time!!!!

Going on family trips had the added benefit of making one look like a TV news camera man, because the camcorders where huge.

My very first word processor (and no that is NOT a photo of me....but we all did look like that!) Yes, it DID include a dedicated daisy-wheel printer -- and it printed (drum roll!) one page every 4 minutes! Woww!! And we could store up to 60 pages on one floppy disk. See more about the floppy disk below....

Loved those floppy disks! They were a mere 8 inches big... and really were floppy!

Loved the TV set pictures... we didn't get color until after I was out of the house!

I remember when the neighbors did... we had a party and watched a TV program together to celebrate... 30 people crowded in a living room to watch this in the mid 1960's:

That translated into a paycheck that came ONCE a month.... delivered on mid-Friday.

IF you were lucky, and IF your boss was in a good mood.... he might let you slip out to deposit it in the bank with a teller.... since the banks closed at 3 pm (maybe 5pm if you were lucky) and weren't open on weekends... and no one had invented the ATMs yet.

On the other hand, the corner store would cash a check... and most likely would let you get something on credit IF your mom or dad had OKed your signing for the tab....

I remember when my mom or dad used to go to the grocery store and write a check out to "cash"...like the beta version of an atm. LOL

Writing checks...reminds of one time when I was in college at the drug store. I was behind some girl writing a check for a $.49 two liter bottle of Pepsi. Yes...soda what that cheap.

After my Dodge Dart collapsed, I had a old 60-something VW Bug with no heat, no a/c and no floor board.. And I used to put $2 in it at a time.

No. Your company will auto-transfer your pay to your checking account, and give you a digital paystub. You do know what a checking account is, right?
