CRAZY DOPE POST, YO!

Some notes from the convent that I picked up from a talk with Fr. Bachmann O.S.B

Religious Life,
It is a life designed to maintain and increase our love with God.
Religious life is not something we need to get worked up about, it is simply just living out your vows that are important. The organization of this life turns toward perfection, it is counselled by the vows. We give our entire selves to God in religious life by our vows. In religious life nothing is private property. When you are in front of God you are expected to give him everything. The souls that are one in God, that are friends in God. They were after the glory of God.

I love this explanation... it is all about the vows and how they shape religious life in a particular community and in a particular individual. The vows are the heart of it all.

Thanks for sharing this.
