As a way of giving back to the community here I draw lots of pictures for people.

Lately I have been in a slump and you guys always seem to help me out. So I drew an un-slumping picture as a thank-you for the amesome people on Phatmass.



It has animals.

Looks beautiful. It reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki's My Neighbour Totoro.

And the curvature of the ground upon which they stand reminds me of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince.

Possibly you have appreciated these works of art in the past and they influenced this picture in some way?


I especially love how you managed to capture the different moods on their faces though they are not "conventional" faces.

Yes, I know of both those things, though I can't draw a Totoro to save my life. Well, maybe if I had a picture of him right in front of me.

I was kinda going for that "sitting on a hill" look, but I think with the edges cropped off it looks less like a hill and more like a large beach ball.
