Since I am unable to search for the old thread, I had to start another.

What are your favorite songs that inspire you to give your life to Jesus in religious life?

Remind Me Who I Am by Jason Gray

This song is perfect for me because I am patiently waiting for God to take the next step:

While I'm Waiting by John Waller

Each of these pieces of music inspires me to find God, to love Him and listen for Him, and to continue the search for who I am meant to be. They convey amesome messages of peace, hope, joy and fervour :)

"Word of God Speak" - MercyMe

"C.S. Lewis Song" - Brooke Fraser

I totally love the John Waller song from Fireproof. I keep listening to it and I realize how much it matches with what I am experiencing in my life. As much as I want to serve God in religious life right now, that is not feasible. God is not calling me to that at the present time. I still have the strong desire to serve Him so I keep finding things to make my faith stronger. I enrolled in Bible Study with my CRHP sisters, I volunteer at the Church for different ministries, and I constantly read more and more about my faith. I am so in love with God right now. No matter how painful it is to wait, I know it is not in vain. I know, one day, the desires of my heart will be fulfilled according to the will of God.

I don't have a ton of songs that inspire me to personally be in religious life (unless you count gregorian chant) but I do have songs that inspire me to view things more calmly, to pray more, and to try to be better.

Oh and Hunter Parrish Is a beautiful man :)

This one has spoken to me throughout my entire discernment (formally now going on for four years! Eeek!) and it still reduces me to tears.

I first heard this song on retreat in adoration, and it was amazing and almost moved me to tears:

Love this song, reminds that I can do nothing without God, and that nothing is impossible with God:

Wow...I'm glad someone else finds this song inspiring! Listening to this got me through some of the most difficult times of my life in the past two years of my discernment. I can't tell you how much I listened to it, imagining our Lord speaking to me when things seemed so utterly hard.

You got me hooked on Jason Gray's song "Remind Me Who I Am." I love that song! :)

CRAZY DOPE POST, YO!

I cannot listen to this song at Mass without getting tears in my eyes. At the Mass at my parish for the World Day of Consecrated Life, the choir sang this and I was trying to sing with them, but I was crying, and my mom had to comfort me. It really tugs at my heart strings and makes me desire religious life even more.

Oh my Mater, that is another song I love! When I sang with a choir for Mass I really loved singing it. You can put so much love/emotion into it!
