Yesterday, Danielle at Lafayette Carmel became Sister Bernadette of the Immaculate Conception. Pictures to come.

Wasn't there a clothing there a few months ago with a former phatmasser? There were photos posted of her in a lovely wedding dress and then clothed in her habit.

And the one in Covington (near NOLA) is also getting vocations, I think.

Not really.. Two aspirants. But no entrants in years. No white veils at all. Aging community. One young black veil. About in her thirties or late twenties.

I dont remember a former phatmasser entering or being clothed. We have had many carmelite vocations from PM, though.

Hm. That's too bad. I was thinking when I visit my grandmother I could stop by and say hello.

NOT that you've converted me to a Carmelite. I'm still a Dominican/confused Franciscan.

I love that in VS we talk about "converting" each other to our religious orders. :P
