All this being said, it's totally not going to hit Florida. The chances are it will go towards Mexico or it will downsize.

Not sure if it's tongue and cheek, but I find statements like this a bit problematic, to be honest -- or at the very least I am somewhat confused by the notion and don't know what to make of statements about natural disasters being acts of God.
Are we to also conclude that the Boxing Day earthquake and tsunami in 2004 that killed hundreds of thousands was also an act of God?

God disproves of this thread. I advise move to lame board to not receive His wrath.
Scheduling a major media and political event in an area frequently hit by hurricanes during the peak of hurricane season was probably not the wisest choice on the part of the RNC.

What if weather events, which are called "acts of God" in places, really did have something to do with His approval or disapproval?
When hurricane Ike hit my home, was it because He disapproved of my decision to move to Texas or was it because He disapproved of my interior design, appliances & furnishings?
I went with the latter, so I stayed and rebuilt. Since we haven't yet had another hurricane strike us, I must believe that God approves of my new granite countertops and solid wood cabinets. He surely approves of my fabulous red washer & dryer, and is also pleased that I didn't get the stands or have them stacked. Praise the Lord! If I had chosen the wrong new furniture we could have been flooded again!

You're welcomed. You almost saved this from going into the Lame Board. Way to drop the ball.

So I take you believe that the entire Southeast should be boycotted of political conventions because they're might be a hurricane? They're could be a tornado in the Midwest. The West Coast gets earthquakes, and you could potentially die from heatstroke in NYC. Aside from hot air, all those people in attendance also bring in cash to spend on the host city. It's really not fair to boycott an entire region over something so stupid.Scheduling a major media and political event in an area frequently hit by hurricanes during the peak of hurricane season was probably not the wisest choice on the part of the RNC.

Yes! Hurricane weather is Ron Paul Delegate weather! We'll all stand outside in the midst of the hurricane if we have to to nominate him! (no one would do that for Romney!)... haha, I know that won't happen; I think the RNC might actually have plans to bus us all away if Tampa needs evacuated, I wonder if they'd have us hold the convention somewhere else... anyway I think it's gonna miss Tampa actually... but I'm going either way.
