Nihil's Stream Of Insanity

I was up until about three studying, then woke up at seven in order to get to the test on time. Got home around eleven, played Wii for a bit, had lunch, then fell asleep for another four hours. :P I hope I can sleep tonight.

I read that if a pair of identical twins marries another pair of identical twins, their children will all be biological siblings.

Tomorrow night I will be making Japanese style shrimp curry. First time I made it, with this same recipe, it was absolutely perfect. Best Japanese curry I've had. Second time I made it I was a bit too ambitious and changed the recipe up a bit, and it wasn't nearly as good. Not bad, at least taste wise, but it just didn't work. Therefore to redeem myself I'm going back to the first recipe, and it is going to be heavenly.

So I spent the last couple hours basically just drooling and geeking out over this Japanese knife making company I stumbled across thanks to Reddit.

Kanetsune
Based in Seki Japan, which is famous for high quality steel.
Their field knife line absolutely blew me away. I am seriously considering setting aside some money to save up for one of the ~$200 models.

On the other hand, for around $110-160 I could get an ESEE-5 or a Rodent 4 or 6 or Ratmandu.
The trouble with the Kanetsune knives, if you'd call it that, is that the knives are so beautiful I would be scared to put them to serious use. On the other hand, the ESEE knives, and the Swamp Rat Knifeworks knives are are obviously intended for serious hard use, and you'd almost feel bad not using them.

Just finished watching the Indian Grand Prix. I watched the Korean race two weeks ago too, and that was the first time I've ever watched a Formula One race. I think I'll keep up with it for a while. It's pretty cool.
I can't stand NASCAR, but Formula One takes everything that sucks about NASCAR and fixes it. Even as a first-time spectator I found the Korean Grand Prix very exciting.
The highlight of the Indian race today was seeing the one guy, Hamilton, pull off a 3.2 second pit stop, replacing all four of his tires and his steering wheel. In Korea the exciting part was the last few laps when Sebastian Vettel had the lead, but nobody was sure if his tire was going to make it to the end of the race. Then PSY waved the checkered flag, so that was amesome too.

 • 3 weeks later...

A'IGHT, big day today.
Going to church in about ten minutes. When I get home I'll be watching the U.S. Grand Prix from Austin.
After that the real work begins. I have about six pages of philosophy to write, specifically on the theological-philosophical concept of temporary disembodiment after death. This is an excellent topic for me because it is explicitly Christian, even Patristic. I've done all the reading, so it's just a matter of writing. Shouldn't take longer than about three hours.

I'm a little weirded out by Lady Rainicorn being pregnant, to be honest. :P I'm sure they'll deal with it sensitively, like always. :|

Anime needs more Spyderco knives. So far this is the only example I've seen:

i was telling you you should get a centofante!

No you weren't. :|
From what I hear they aren't really meant for heavy use as much as most of their other knives. I guess because it has no screws that you could adjust to either take it apart or tighten it if it developed any blade play.

Maybe I wasn't listening. :smile3:
I love the Stretch though. Also a thin blade, at least compared to the Endura. Similar shape to the Centofante, at least the blade itself. Plus I love the jimping on either side.
