I wasn't being facetious. I truly believe that he will do whatever he can to run again in 2016. He doesn't believe in the Constitution and ignores it whenever he can.

While I agree that he has spat all over the constitution, I do believe that he thinks he's doing the right thing. I can't honestly see him actually attempting to run again in 2016, and even if he did try, he doesn't have the support to do so. Like I said, he'd need 3/4 of the states to ratify the constitutional amendment it would take to allow him to run, and not even the Democrats would want to allow him to continue in that way. I honestly can't see anyone endorsing that constitutional amendment in congress.

All it takes to amend the constitution is bunches of money. I'm sure Planned Parenthood would be happy to finance it.

You would have to buy off 2/3rds of both the Senate and the House, then you'd have to buy off 3/4 of Americans once it went to the states to be ratified.

You're talking nonsense, CatherineM.

Guys and gals, I hate to rain on your parade but this was the election. By the time 2016 rolls around this country will be hardly recognizable as the great nation we once were. The system for the Obamacare will be in place, most of the country will be the poor we talk about helping. The billions of dollars spent on abortion in this country that you and I and our church will have to pay for will have provided for untold numbers of new deaths, lets not even get into physician assisted suicide and death panels. Thats socialism folks, besides after Obama makes good on his promise to Putin we will not be able to strategically fend off nuclear aggression as we will not have enough to be a viable threat. Obama now has positioned the country on what is described as a fiscal cliff, where the tax breaks for middle class Americans is going to expire and billions are needed for his health care as well, and Obama has promised to raise the tax rates on the rich? This will have the effect of hurting small businesses, and taking away incentives for the wealthy to create jobs as their money will be confiscated essentially throwing us further into a recession if not an outright depression. Just the news of Obama's re-election has caused the stock market to take the worse freefall in many years. Welcome to the bread lines my friends.

Cheri ?? I guess you have been reading some liberal blog or media to come up with that one. Rick Santorum has called throughout his career for reducing government by passing a balanced budget law and most importantly repealing Obamacare. Basically the same platform that Romney and Cain both promised. I know there are lots of misinformation sites out there, but it's simply not true. I seen another thread where someone posted how Romney was " Big Government " its a shame when people pass on info that they have no idea about as it causes others who do not research it to fall for the lie.

Ronald Reagan tried to greet Germans when he was president. He mispronounced one part of the word, and instead of a greeting it translated into "I like jelly doughnuts." That's a true story. Look it up.

Of course, there was also Carter's famous Polish mistranslation (which was amazing, since he obviously had enough Polish aptitude to review the resume of and interview and hire as his national security advisor someone with the name Zbigniew Brzezinski).

They could run Rubio on his good looks and that he's a minority. I think Rubio and Rice would be an interesting pair.

How about Susanna Martinez, the governor of New Mexico?

Whoa whoa whoa. I'm from PA and both me, my husband, and my husband's entire family are very involved with Republican politics in our state. Santorum was MY Senator. Many pro-lifers in PA were angry with Santorum for selling out and supporting pro-abortion party switcher Specter in 2004 over Twomey (pro-lifer who currently holds the Senate seat but had an equally good chance of winning in 2004) because he wanted Specter to scratch his back in 2006. Santorum isn't the Knight in Shining Armor everyone made him out to be. I respect him as a person but he made a lot of mistakes as a politician. He did a lot of good things, too, sure, but not enough for me to want him to be president.

I just hope the powers that be in the GOP don't start looking for a token Hispanic or African American. The problem with the modern GOP is that they lack credibility and respect outside of their own ranks. The caricatures on Fox News and within most of your average Tea Party rallies may not be the majority, but their squeaky wheel antics have eroded the legitimacy of a rich political and philosophical principle. We need to retake our grand old party and divest it of the slack-jawed yokels that make a mockery of it.

Rubio/Paul 2016
