Have you ever had to explain to someone what the Eucharist is? What did the "non-believer/doubter" say? zabbazooey Posted February 1, 2013 Share Posted February 1, 2013 (edited) When I didn't consider myself Catholic, I mentioned to a friend that Catholics believe that communion really is Jesus' body. The conversation got so heated that she actually called her boyfriend, on speaker, (he's "Catholic") and he vehemently denied my 'claim' and said it was purely symbolic. I said agree to disagree.
