I've been in contact with the Order for around 7 months, and they're beautiful. I just thought I'd recommend you all to check them out. They're different from most religious orders, since they have brothers, sisters, priests, and external (lay) members. Their website is:

Up until pretty recently I've felt very drawn to them, but I have not completely forgotten them, since I love their charism and schedule. Feel free to ask me about them, since I know a LOT about them :)

I contacted this order earlier in my discernment because I was interested in semi-contemplative life but they felt that they did not have enough of an apostolate that would suit me.  I thought their works of mercy were really attractive.  I hope they continue to receive many vocations!  :)

I love their habits and that they're mainly contemplative   :pray:  I think that their convent is within driving distance from me so maybe I'll visit sometime.   :saint:

Yes, I really like their contemplative life, but I agree that their apostolate is small. That is why I am considering other orders, kind of. It's a long story.

Yes, their habits are beautiful. I like the postulant's habit as well, but I don't think they have any pictures of those on the current website (there were on the previous website). Not to mention, the aqua blue scapular and veil are my favorite color, and have been since I was very little :)

Hey guys!

I don't go on Phatmass much anymore, school, dance yadda yadda.

Anyway, just wanting to say I'm going on a brief visit with this order in November. This is basically my first "official" visit to a monastery (in that I'm actually considering it as a patilia life, not just going for a prayer service, service project, etc). If I get any pictures I'll try to post them. I'm so excited!

Indeed :) It will be exciting, if I do proceed in discernment there, to eventually meet all the external members whenever they come.

Thank you, hopefully the trip will run smoothly. It will only be a 1-2 hour visit, but I am very grateful. It is in Hopedale, OH, 30 minutes from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.

I had a great visit :) I just went to Mass but was able to talk to the members before/afterwards. Gosh I already miss them. I told my best friend I'm going to relive this day in my head before going to sleep so I don't forget anything. I'll post some pics soon.

Thank you for posting these I love the Order of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts of Jesus and Mary.Sr.Maria says you have made videos of them .(I told them that Mary Catherine says hi).I think you are the person that said that on the topic nun runs.
