My aunt, uncle and cousins live quite close to some of the fires currently burning in my state. The fires came very close to the kids' school; my aunt managed to meet with her son and stay with him, but her two daughters (and most of the school's students) were trapped in their school for hours until removed by police escort.
 

Their old house has been completely destroyed. They are sitting it out in their current home but may have to move if need be - in that situation, they may go and stay at our property which is a little removed from the fires.

Please keep them, and the hundreds of people who are stranded or who have lost their homes, in your prayers. It appears that so far there has only been one reported fatality. The firefighters have really been doing an amazing job.
