Thankfulness Thread!

If you're thankful for anything, you can post it here! (And this does include even very small things, ex. finding lead in your mechanical pencil before a test, being able to pull out a brand new tube of toothpaste...) :)

I am thankful for this thread.

I love thankfulness, it is a major tool I use everyday in my life to hold my selfish crankiness at bay.

I love thankful prayers and prayers of praise too.

I am thankful for SO many aspects of my life.

My lovely foster son, he is such a blessing.

My lovely cat - he is such a bundle of comfort.

My new wonderbag and having the funds enough to buy it.

The sun outside my window today.

I am thankful...:
- for salvation
- for my classmates
- for the phamily
- for both of my cats
- that it wasn't -50 today like the forecast suggested last night
And that's not even the tip of the iceberg! (Obviously, one could fill a whole library with things they are thankful for, and still miss many of those things. It's still nice to recognize a few every now and then!)

I had coffee.

And before that, I got to go to Mass! The priest just got back from his annual vacation; we had been having communion services instead of daily Mass for several weeks.

I am thankful that I got to the relatively more quiet early Mass on Weds.......

I am thankful that I don't have money worries. I must be one of the few people to have gotten better off under the austerity prog and the changes in the benefits system. I went through the horrible assessment process, but the results were what the govt had promised, that the most disabled would not end up worse off. I got even more than I had been getting.

Doesn't make me like Cameron any more than I did!

Then I heard that a reduction in my electricity bill that disabled people can apply for had come through. £177 rebate! (almost $300!)

I am thankful to have friends in the RL who are persevering.

Praise God.

I'm thankful for this thread, because logging in at 8am and seeing 5 reports, it's a true respite from negativity.

I'm thankful for my coworkers, who are all so awesome.

I'm thankful for family and friends, for always being there.

I'm thankful for Confession.

I'm thankful for God.

And on one level, I'm even thankful for Lent, because it offers a challenge...

I like to see thankfulness and gratitude on here too, it's such a welcome break, not only from our genuine cares but from the wearisome ways of the world.

I'm thankful I found this thread. Many times I come to Phatmass for a "rest" from the things I face every day and to be with good people who at heart care about each other. But, it's been a "long, cold, lonely winter" for everybody in its own way, and right now it seems a lot of us are more "edgy" than usual, for all kinds of very real, very good reasons.

However, at least for me, I am thankful that today is sunny and the temperature is supposed to get up to 40! (Usually in winter a sunny day means it's cold and a warmer day is overcast.)

Along with the sun, I found this thread. Nice.
