Catherine Therese Posted July 23, 2014 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Thank you all so much for your prayers. My nephew, John, made his entry into the world approximately 9 hours and 15 minutes ago. He is already an inquisitive baby, about 11lb, large and with more-than-healthy lungs :) He was born in the living room. My SIL is exhausted and a little uncomfortable, but that will pass and she is otherwise well. I was blessed to be able to visit straight after work and meet him and hold him and welcome him to the family a couple of hours ago. His 3yo sister triumphantly announced to me upon my arrival that the baby was "John the Baptist".... she's had this thing about calling him John the Baptist since my SIL was about 4 months pregnant. (Although yesterday after Mass for the feast of St Mary Magdalene, she suggested that if the baby were a girl, we could call her Mary Magdalene, and Maggie for short.)
