A tip: if you are looking for a good OSB place, run and do not walk to St. Cecilia's.

It's a wonderful place! Was there on Corpus Christi last year, when I was staying up the road at Quarr Abbey and jumped in the taxi that was taking one of the monks to say the Mass.

It's funny, I was only there for a short time but seeing it there, it's as familiar as my own home.

It's also very exciting seeing some of the sisters there as postulants and novices and I know that they're juniors or professed by now!

JMJ, May the Lord bless you and keep you

It is so lovely to see the grace with which they do their tasks. Thank you for thinking to share it with us :nun1:

I didn't know that they did that, thank you. When I was last there I read the first reading during Mass and it was extraordinary to stand at the lectern in the sanctuary, facing into the nuns' choir. There are so many of them!

I did that once during a short visit. The phrase that popped into my head was b****y terrifying, but then I'm not very politecivilised/well-spoken/all the rest of it ;)
