HisChildForever Posted September 1, 2015 Share Posted September 1, 2015 What are the principle goals of the Synod, and what kind of results (short- and long-term) are expected? I guess I ask because I've been hearing so much rhetoric, like "to help families in crisis find creative solutions" (a phrase I heard on Catholic radio today). Maybe rhetoric is the wrong word. But meetings and discussions like this almost remind me of politics. There's a lot of talk and good ideas thrown around, but nothing actually comes to fruition. I mean, is the Synod going to implement actual changes that we'll experience or see at the local level? Does anyone have any resources I could check out?
