Remnant video on the Synod

I did not manage to listen to the whole thing. The Remnant certainly does not approve of mercy and listening do they?

I would have to disagree.

Yeah, I couldn't make it past the first 15 seconds. A little too hysterical (which he somehow managed while being dull and monotone). That being said, I've got to do some reading, before I can really make any sort of judgment.

I would recommend watching the whole thing. He may start out like that in a few of his videos, but they get better quickly; it's hard to make a judgement about it without giving it a fair listen. There are some very important quotations later on in the video that are hard to dismiss.

Do you agree with this guy? Posting a video with no commentary implies that you are endorsing it.

Are you going to suspend her if she does? Or mark her as phishy?

I do agree with him. I believe there ought to be more of an expression of remaining hope, because the Church is not going to die; it will never die. But I agree with all the points he's making.

Yeah....this. Phishy means that one doesn't uphold one or more of the Church's teachings, doesn't it?

I do uphold the Church's teachings, and it's because I do that I agree with Mr. Matt's points.

Its just very dramatic. I mean I too am displeased with the whole sitch but really ? Guys like the Remnant always think the world is ending. It's what they do. Like what is his point exactly? Ahhhh, things are bad and we're all gonna dieeeeee? I agree. Good thing about that gates of hell not prevailing stuff.

This I agree with.

I agree with the arguments in the video, and I do believe the situation is as bad as they describe, but I do wish there was more of an expression of hope; because in the end, the gates of hill will not prevail against the Church. I know, for sure, that Mr. Matt is NOT saying that at this point we should just sit back, because nothing can be done; but sometimes his ways of speaking make it seem to come across that way, and it can be disheartening.

Phishy means that one does not publicly agree with the Catholic Church.

I feel that I have no choice to give you the Phishy label for endorsing and agreeing with this:

"The synod on the family... the last days of the Catholic Church as we know it."

Comparing the Catholic church's cardinals  to creating raunchy porn and brainwashing.

Lying about the cardinals telling us that the Church's infallible teachings are not up to snuff with modern problems, and implying that the cardinals said the Church has not cared for it's members for 2,0000 years, and also lying about the cardinals saying that the laity are the new authority in the Church.

"Poisonous wells of the new mass".

"The Church is abandoning any talk about mortal sin."

I specifically do agree with the Catholic Church; and it is because I agree with the Catholic Church that I do not agree with those within it who wish to change or water down the teachings.

I think a phishy tag is a little overboard. I'm not exactly a Remnant fanboy, but this seems a little extreme. A lot of people are really worried about the conclusion of the Synod (though admittedly I am not one of them,) and I don't think expressing that merits a phishy tag.

I don't know what the Remnant is, and I can't watch the video on my phone. But we can think that there is a conservative and a liberal side and that the conservative side is correct, right? Because Cardinal Arinze talked about this recently and how divorced Catholics should not be allowed Communion. Of course the existence of the liberal side doesn't mean that it would win, or that the Church has ended etc. The Church teaching remains but I think the conservative cardinals have the correct application of it and they are reinforcing it. I agree with Cardinal Arinze, Cardinal Burke etc and that is orthodox i believe. I hope its not these points that are getting disagreed with in the video... As to what other points it makes, I can't watch it, but anyway I don't think the Church is ending - of course not.
