Grandfather's end of life

Hello everyone. Please pray for my grandfather and my mother.

He is approaching the end of his life. How quickly is not clear. The doctors and his advance directive suggest that a feeding tube not be used, but my mother has legal authority to override the advance directive. In addition it does seem that he is still conscious, albeit with seriously diminished higher faculties. 

A feeding tube is considered ordinary means of care, so declining to provide one is not morally licit.

Please pray in particular for my mother, who is Catholic but not practising, that she makes the correct decisions while dealing with this.
