Hasan, your characterization of French is bull****, and you know it (or should, you're smart enough). Also, poisoning the well is lazy. 

That being said, ignoring the first sentence and last of your last two paragraphs, I do think you there are some valid points there or at least things worth considering. How exactly do you humanely imprison someone like Manning? Does the punishment received constitute a cruel or unusual one?
