CatherineM Posted January 19, 2017 Share Posted January 19, 2017 I spent some time at a mission in Guatemala when I was a teenager. Got to meet a future Saint. I trained with the Maryknolls for a bit and with the Franciscans. There are lots of big organizations and some small ones. I wish I could do that work again. Best time of my life. He is Risen! Posted January 20, 2017 Share Posted January 20, 2017 I was with LAMP (Lay Apostolic Ministries with the Poor) for about a year. They are in the Bronx and Manhattan. They are not that big but do work with the poor and evangalization. The women lived in an old convent together which was great since we had a chapel where we had permission to have adoration and we had daily communal prayer.
