A video of an actual Consecration Mass:

Thank you for posting the link. Very beautiful. I'm on my phone now and I can't copy from my phone but I've been watching the video 'consecrated virgins live!' and they talk about the life and discernment. One of the woman on there named Carmen has a beautiful article written about her look at the vocation and what it means to her.

Here are a couple of articles that came out today about Jennifer Settle, who just made her consecration yesterday. I couldn't find public pictures yet but I did notice some on Facebook.

Here is an article she wrote before making her consecration describing her vocation and what it means:

Here is an article of a woman who made her consecration in October:

Here is that article I mentioned about Carmen: http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/life/inspirational-stories/a40032/consecrated-virgin/

This is such a beautiful vocation. After talking with consecrated virgins and learning about it I wish we heard more about it, at least I did when I started discerning. Our Lord has His ways though.

This was the beautyful consecration of one of my friends.

So beautiful! What a beautiful church too. I paused at 3:15 to look more closely at the images of the Immaculate Heart and the Sacred Heart. Please feel free to post any information you can share about this vocation. :) I've been having a great time learning more as I am newly discovering this form of consecrated life. I have yet to contact the diocese vocation director, but have been learning from other consecrated virgins I've been in contact with.

Well I'm officially in love with the churches in Germany! (I might be wrong because I didn't read that anywhere, but I'm guessing these are in Germany.) Beautiful, and the vestments the priests are wearing. I noticed that the veil and white dress she was wearing, and also in the other video, that it looks like a habit. Do CV in Germany wear that everyday as a sign? Or maybe it's just for that day. I've heard from other CV that some dioceses have dress codes for CV.

Some CVs in Central and Eastern Europe do, but it's not all of Germany that does this. I believe there is one diocese in France where the CVs there were a veil I think all the time, but with just modest secular clothes. In some places CVs have special garb that they wear on special occasions.

The CV in France all have a scarf with a little lamp

I found the video on Vimeo for the woman who just made her consecration in PA. I tried posting the link but it wouldn't let me submit. However, if you find it watch it if you can. It's beautiful.

Found this little bit about the Consecration ceremony however.

"Asked about their (the consecrated virgins in attendance) all being technically married to the same man, one of the consecrated virgins smiled and said consecrated virgins experience no jealousy in competing for Jesus’ affection.

“There’s room for all of us, because it’s so awesome,” she said, laughing.

During the ceremony, Settle lay face down on the floor of the basilica, motionless.

A young man in cream-colored robes began a slow recitation: “Lord have mercy.”

The congregation chorused back, “Christ have mercy.”

“St. Michael,” the man intoned, commencing a litany of saints.

After several minutes of the invocation of saints, Settle rose. Chaput, wearing green and white robes, told the assembled, “May nothing tarnish the glory of perfect virginity.”

I am going to try posting the link again and see if it works without trying to put the video directly on here: https://vimeo.com/202495550

I talked to one of the priests at my parish and I was thrilled to find out that they do have a program for the consecrated virginity. I'm going to talk to the parish priest this weekend and hopefully be able to fill out the paper work that needs to be sent to the Bishop, and Lord willing be accepted as a candidate.

I was wondering- are there any saints who were consecrated virgins? I was thinking about it the other day, and couldn't think of any. I guess that their canonization process would be less likely to occur, however, as they wouldn't have an order to promulgate it.

Well, if you think about it, all the holy virgins of the first centuries of the Church (St. Agnes, St. Agatha, St. Cecilia, St. Anastasia, St. Catherine of Alexandria...) were consecrated virgins.
