The best summary of where the Bible came from

This Sunday, I'm going to be leading some discussion on the topic "Where did the Bible come from?".

I have a book by that name, but am looking for a good basic summary--preferably something I can print and handout.

Any ideas?

Maybe a shorter dumbed down version.

K. I'll see what I can find. I wrote something up concerning this, but I may not have access anymore, as it was for my old job.

In the meantime, maybe these? http://www.cuf.org/2004/04/the-complete-bible-why-catholics-have-seven-more-books and http://www.cuf.org/2004/04/whats-in-a-name-protocanon-deuterocanon-and-apocrypha/

Graham's book, Where We Got the Bible: Our Debt to the Catholic Church, is a good one, I think.

Credo in Deum

The Bible was handed to us complete and intact from an archangel. He also brought one copy for every person who exists and will exist. A certificate of authenticity was also handed down to the early Church.

No. I'm not making this up.

was it the version where the words of Jesus are in red, or is that a modernist innovation?
