Passionist nuns UK

There have been a few threads about the Passionists lately, especially the nuns at Whitesville in Kentucky, and for the sake of UK-based women I wanted to mention that we do have a small monastery of Passionist nuns in England. They used to be in the Midlands, but their monastery got too big and unmanageable for the community, so last year the remaining nuns moved to a small purpose-built monastery in the grounds of Minsteracres, a retreat centre run by Passionist priests in Northumberland (which is how I found out about the nuns - I sometimes go there for quiet days). The monastery is named after Our Lady of Holy Hope.

The sisters are hoping that vocations will come, so please pray for them, and if you live in the UK and are interested in monastic religious life, look them up. :)

How interesting, I didn't know there were UK Passionists. I attended a Passionist retreat house in the US and it was seriously fantastic.
