The sexual abuse of children by one in Holy Orders is a heinous and unspeakable crime - and even those adjectives are insufficient, be it e.g. two priests or one hundred or more.   Be it abuse or the covering up of abuse.  The crimes are inexcusable and those involved should face the secular criminal penalty as well.

However, I do well to remember that probably the majority of those in Holy Orders are committed and faithful priests and hierarchy.  I do well to remember as I pray and do penance for the terrible crimes that have been committed in our midst that Jesus has assured us "the gates of Hell shall not prevail".
