Trading embryos

Lisa, a mom desperate to give her son a little brother, is looking to trade embryos with another mom. Doing so, she’s wading into legal territory colored in shades of gray, experts say.

Only a handful of states — including Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Georgia — have passed legislation regarding embryo donation. (New York is not among them.)

Question: what is the world coming to?

If the world is in a bad way, then we have to ask ourselves questions  - it is we who are failing :

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. " (Matthew Ch5)

Sex selection and/or embryo training should be outlawed.  This idea of trading human embryo’s like a baseball card, is both  morally bankrupt and detrimental to Society as a whole.   The mother featured in the article wants a son so badly that she'd rather have a stranger's child than her own biological daughter.

So, now embryos are commodities to be traded... What is happening to our humanity?

BTW: the practice of  gender selection has been going on in China and India for the past twenty years, more than 100 million males rather than females have been  born .  What's going to happen when  those disproportional populations of men  want female  companionship or wives?
