GB Carmelites on FB and Twitter

Sister Leticia

Hello lovely people!

The Carmelite nuns in the UK have been on Twitter for more than a year now (the accounts are run by sisters from within their monasteries), and a couple of Carmels have got well-established Facebook pages. But there are a couple of new pages which are in need of more followers, especially if they'll then like and interact with their photos and posts. (And they have posted some lovely photos, and quotes) The sisters themselves don't use FB much, so they don't have a wide base of FB friends to invite to like their pages. I promised one of them that I would help to spread the word, and that's when I thought of all of you, and especially all those who love anything to do with the Carmelites and monastic life.

And I'd love them to have the surprise of a sudden influx of new followers from the US, Australia and all over!

So if you're on Facebook or Twitter please do your best - and I'm sure an added bonus will be that they're bound to pray for all their followers!

The new pages are

Carmelite Nuns in Britain - which currently has only 31 followers

Carmelite Monastery, Wolverhampton - only 12 followers!! This is the monastery about which a video was made last year - I remember someone shared it here.

Well-established pages

Quidenham Carmelite Monastery - this is Ruth Burrows' community, and where Wendy Beckett lived (in a caravan in the grounds) and died.
