Hence "I believe in the resurrection of the body" (Apostles' Creed). Those who will go to the New Jerusalem will have their bodies glorified like Jesus and Mary. Because I think the answer is both, our bodies corrupt (well, except some saints) and return to dust, but they will be resurrected and glorified.
