Cure, is this what you had in mind?
Yes,that is exactly what I was thinking

Also is there anyway that each heading could have its own link so that you could click on a minor heading and it would take your right were you wanted to go? This would make it a lot easier but I don't know if it can be done. We could also pin the index page at the top of the debate table so people could have easy access baby.

Also I got to brag up my wife. She fixed our computer. She had to delete everthing off the hard drive and put everything back on. My women's the bomb. The sad thing is that now I don't get a new computer. :sadder:

Also phatcatholic I put the development of doctrine under the history section. You can move it if you wish but it is all there.

Also I deleted all the links that I have put in the reference section. So we should now be on the same page about were we are at on posting links.

Also where are we at in regards to deciding on what site we are going on and about picking the teams. I should probably make a new post asking this but I would be interested in a little update on where we stand.

Also, that is all. :)

also, someone mentioned that we should go to sites with Catholics who espouse views not in line w/ the magisterium. at first i agreed. but, i've been thinking about the effect that catholic vs. catholic debate would have on someone who is new to catholicism or not experienced w/ debate. often times, this causes more scandal then debate w/ protestants. so, now i'm thinking these types of sites may need to wait until after everyone get's their feet wet w/ the protestants ;). what do u think?

as for the reference section, i reorganized the seven sacraments. i unpinned them and then made a new entry which has the introduction and then links to each sacrament. i think this streamlines the reference section. also, now there's one place for the "introduction to the seven sacraments" instead of having this at the beginning of each sacrament. if you can't see the unpinned entries, go to show topics "from the beginning" at the bottom of the page.

i also noticed a few things we need to work on while i was going through all the entries. the "Eucharist and Mass" entry needs an update on the section on "Sunday Obligation." i had hoped to make a section about why its important to go to mass, but i only have one link so far.

the "Morality Part Two" entry needs links for "Testimony of the ECF's" and "CCC"

most of the links don't have "quotes from phatmass members." all this would require is someone searching phatmass for the topic in question, finding a profound post, and then adding it to the entry. i still haven't decided on a format for these quotes. should we stick w/ the quote boxes, or link to the post? for examples of both, go here

also, a few things to keep in mind when you are adding links to an entry:
1. if an article has a title and then a subtitle, separate them w/ a colon, not a hyphen
2. the subtitle needs to be in caps like the main title
3. subheadings (a heading under a minor heading) are underline and italicized.
3. i like to have only as many subheadings as possible, so always try to condense two into one if you can (for example, the "development of doctrine" section has way too many subheadings)

those are just some quick things that i noticed while i was going thru the reference section last night. i'll make the changes (b/c i may need to move some things around), just keep that in mind for the future ;)

i think that's everything for now.

pax christi,
phatcatholic

also, Cure, you don't have to put the author of the article in the title
Ok, I will make a mental note of this.
oh, i'll have to talk to dUSt about linking to minor headings. right now, i don't have the capability
Cool

Phat Cat I have a question. If I have for example a link of the church fathers and the Eucharist, am I supposed to just put this in the Church fathers section, or under the sacrament section under church fathers, or both?

Phatcat, it won't let me edit the Eucharist and the Sacrifice of the Mass section. It says that it's locked. How do I edit this?

I took the liberty to find some myself. There was not enough sites that I felt would be good places to start. Most of the sights that were given where a little hostile to Catholics if you know what I mean. :D

Am I in trouble :( :P
