JesusSaves1000s

Youth groups are hard to form these days. I went to Steubenville East this past Summer and ended up joining up with a youth group from Connecticut because it was just my mom and I. They were a small group struggling to get people, but I had a good time. I still talk to them. I thought about starting a youth group, but it's pretty much out of the question where I live.

at first my mom made me go for confirmation, but as it progressed i began to like it more and more and now come regularly even if my parents tell me not to

-youth group's name?
FIRE (Faith Inspired Radient Energy) for the High Schoolers &
POWER (praise (something) Wonder Energy Reverence) <something like that. for the junior high kids... grades 6-8

-what is so great about yours, what do you like most about it?
I love it all, I think that it is cool, cause it is the first thing that my church has done for theyouth in like 5 years... Right now it is more like a forum, where we have a topic of the night and we discuss it. I also love all the people there, it is totally like they are my extended family.

-how did you get started in it?
Well, actually I was first involved in another Church's youth group, and i got involved in that cause my friends at school were leaders and they were begging me to come. For mine at my church, I am kinda starting it for the rest of the people. I am the youth rep for my Council Board
