Are you able to get in through your parish? I can try to get you in with phatmass credentials, but can't promise anything.

No not with my parish. I cancelled our spots because I couldn't get enough teens who wanted to go and because I didn't really push it since I don't like taking kids to expensive conferences unless I know what they're getting. Steubenville, Lifeteen . . . ok . . . but NCYC was kinda fluffy a few years ago when I went . . .

so I didn't really push it . . .

Anyway, if you can get me in with Phatmass Creds cool, Our Parish would be happy to pay for it, whatever it costs. This way I can check it out and see if I wanna take kids next time. If not, then I'll work on finding another parish that might need a chaperone.

Um... I'm a little slow...

Where and when is NCYC? (like city, state, date and time). And what exactly is it.

Thanks.

I'm in Cal. so I don't know if I can go. But maybe it will land on a long weekend and I can find some cheap tix. It would be SOOOO cool to see you guys in person!

Exposition/Adoration

During Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a consecrated host is removed from the Tabernacle and reverently displayed on the altar (often in a special vessel called a monstrance), providing a focus for devotional prayer before Jesus in the Eucharist. A solemn silence is observed throughout the period, though Scripture, hymns, meditation, and spoken prayer may also be used.

Benediction

This ancient ritual brings closure to the period of exposition/adoration with prayer, song, and a special blessing of the assembly using the monstrance containing the consecrated host. It concludes with the solemn reposing of the eucharistic species back in the tabernacle.
